The meeting went extremely well, attended by over 200 participants and invited speakers. Five Egyptian universities were represented (Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Al-Azhar University, Mansoura University, Benha University) in addition to the National Cancer Institute of Egypt and Ministry of Health Teaching Hospitals. The sponsored IGCS speaker was Mr. Hatem from Gateshead, UK, who delivered two presentations. The quality of presentations and the interaction from the attendance was impressive.

Our colleague and IGCS member Dr Amr El-Shalkany made a short presentation about the main goals and activities of IGCS. The attending participants were gynecological surgeons, radiotherapists, radiologists, pathologists and clinical geneticists. We also invited representatives the Egyptian Red Crescent and Ministry of health Cancer Registry administration. The whole meeting went according to schedule and was highly appreciated by all participants.
