The SOGIBA congress was held July 13 to 15th. It had over 6000 attendees with eight simultaneous sessions every day.
During the IGCS Symposium, Dr. Karlan presented two lectures entitled: “Must we submit all the endometrial cancer patients to surgical staging?” and “Role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in ovarian cancer”. A third lecture was given during the general meeting: “Fetility sparing surgery in cervical cancer: why, when, how?”
During the Symposium, we had a discussion panel with well recognized Gynecologic Oncologists from Argentina.
Finally, we had two oral presentations about: “Sentinel Node in cervical cancer” and “Radical Abdominal Trachelectomy”
We hope this was just the beginning …. Reported by Adriana Bermudez, MD, PhD (Vice-President, IGCS 2006-2008) |
