This Seminar, organized by the joint effort of Serbian Society for Gynecologic Oncology and FIGO-IGCS was a unique opportunity for many gynecologists from this region to hear about the most important problems in management of endometrial cancer, to meet the most distinguished gynecologic oncologists and to work together in a stimulating forum. The Seminar was under the auspices of Serbian Ministry of Health, which, due to the successful previous activity of the Society has decided to support all events of the Society during 2007.

Sponsored lecturers included Prof Dr Ignace Vergote (IGCS), Prof Dr Ian Jacobs (IGCS), and Prof Dr Sergio Pecorelli (FIGO). Each sponsored speaker contributed to the scientific program and its realization. The high quality of lectures delivered by both international and national speakers, discussions and case presentations were inspiring and kept participants actively involved during the entire Seminar.

Participants were asked to rate all the presentations between 1-5 and all 20 lectures have been rated above 4, with an average rate of 4.61. Comments of participants were of particular interest. They reflect how much they needed such an event and how much they enjoyed it. After initial reluctance, discussion about case-reports appeared to be very interesting and involved many people. This kind of interactive work should be an integral part of future workshops. These suggestions will be of a great help in designing the similar educational events in the future.

The Serbian Society for Gynecologic Oncology is grateful to both FIGO and IGCS for enabling us to organize “Endometrial cancer”, and thus supporting much needed education in gynecologic oncology in Serbia.
